Maintenance Mechanic 1
Are you skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair of plant machinery, mechanical facilities and equipment? We need your professional experience, knowledge and skills on the Consolidated Maintenance and Operations (CMO) team located at Green Hill School. You will install, inspect, test, service, maintain and repair various mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
**Some of what you'll do**
* Maintain apparatus such as heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, or refrigeration systems.
* Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on central plant systems and subsystems such as hydronic boilers, boiler circulation system, hydronic circulation system, chill water circulation system, and domestic water system.
* Inspect, maintain, and repair campus wide hydronic and chill water systems. Inspect maintain, and repair all building hydronic chill water system and domestic water sub­systems.
* Analyze, maintain, and repair Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, sensors, and actuators.
* Monitor and adjust building heating and cooling systems using energy management systems.
* Maintain and repair pumps, motors, air handlers, air flow dampers, v-belts, sheaves pulleys, and bearings on building heating and cooling systems.
* Operate and maintain fluid and electronic testing and measuring instruments such as; manometers, air flow, and liquid flow meters, volt meters, ammeters and potentionmeters.
* Keep records of work performed and supplies used; use such tools as drill presses, grinders, band saws, hand drills, testers, welding equipment, soldering guns, small hand tools, and specialized apparatus. Estimate and order materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition.
* Lead and instruct helpers, patients, or inmates.
* Prepare surfaces for welding and use arc or acetylene welding and burning equipment.
**Who should apply?**
Those who have four years of experience in installation, maintenance, repair and use of industrial, electronic or pneumatic instruments, machines and measuring equipment.
**What we're looking for**
* Knowledge of standard practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment of steam fitting trade, operation and maintenance of steam power plant machinery; fluid and gas systems; boiler laws; safety precautions.
* Ability to work from blueprints, plans and sketches, estimate materials and time needed to complete jobs, use hand and power tools.
